An on-demand course designed especially for non-marketers
The goal of this course is to empower content professionals and non-marketers to understand their web analytics so they can make a more informed business case for the impact of content.
Web content measurement is challenging—especially if you've made your career as a "words person."
But knowing and understanding your content's performance can help you understand your audience and make your content more successful.
The Content Technologist's first-ever course aims to demystify web analytics for everyone, whether you've previously learned GA or you're a complete analytics newbie.
This course isn't about marketing attribution or advertising. It's about understanding how your audience uses your content and what supports your business, using Google Analytics 4.
In this class, you'll learn:
Understanding Google Analytics 4 is a combination of video, text, and quiz content, delivered via email 5x a week for 4 weeks in a row.
At your convenience — when you decide to say Go — the 4-week course begins. You'll receive a short lesson in your inbox each workday, with clear learning objectives. You'll be led through the GA4 interface one small piece at a time.
The course is relatively short— between 5 and 10 minutes per day, 20 work days in a row (analytics aren't for the weekend, trust us).
You'll also have access to your instructor will be available for one 15-minute consulting session to answer any outstanding questions you have about setting up GA4.
To get the most out of the course, anticipate spending an additional hour or two using GA4 each week, beyond the lessons.
I've been using Google Analytics 4 professionally for a decade—but I majored in English and history, so I know what it's like to be a words person in an analytical world.
My name is Deborah Carver, and I'm an independent consultant and publisher of The Content Technologist. In addition to my award-winning content strategy work, I've been deciphering Google Analytics on behalf of clients and training teams in GA for nearly a decade.
My past and current content analytics clients have included:
As a content analyst I know the importance of having data sources set up correctly and collecting the right information. Deborah walks you through the initial GA4 set up, explores the useful out-of-the-box GA4 reports, and even shows you how to create a custom report that includes all the important content performance and user behavior metrics all in one report.
